The Mason Sustainability Institute (MSI) is a program of George Mason University's Office of Sustainability. The Office of Sustainability (OoS)'s main focus is to inmprove the sustainability of Mason's three main campuses, but the OoS realized that in order to make Mason's campuses sustainable, we needed to help our surrounding region be sustainable, as well. Thus, the MSI was created to foster sustainability in Northern Virginia through the creation of a network of indivuals, businesses, and non-profits all striving to make their little bit of Northern Virginia more sustainable. We invite all businesses, residents, local governments, and non-profits with a sustainability orientation to join us in building a strong network to make this effort a success. Contact us for more information.
The George Mason University Sustainability Institute provides sustainability-oriented education and skills development for Mason and its surrounding communities.
The Mason Sustainability Institute brings together local businesses, students, community members, governments, non-profit organizations, and Mason faculty, staff, and students and empowers them to become sustainability stewards for their homes, communities, and the Northern Virginia region.
